We’re
celebrating our 15th anniversary! For one night only, on Saturday,
January 30, put on your most festive outfit and party with Dreamcatcher
in a fabulous new location in Summit. This magical evening includes
drinks &
hors d’oeuvres, a wonderful cabaret-style show, delicious dinner,
and a silent auction.
The Dreamcatcher Resident Acting Company will entertain you with
songs from Broadway shows that made it to Hollywood, and Hollywood
movies that were adapted for the Great White Way.
Feel good about your ticket purchase or donation because this annual
fundraising gala benefits the programs and services of your favorite
ensemble theatre company: Dreamcatcher. Did you know that ticket sales
only account for about 20% of our annual budget? To make up the difference
we hold fundraisers like this one. And arts lovers like you help fund
things like college internships, new plays, outreach to seniors, and
our summer theater camp for kids.
2010 silent auction items
- “Julie & Julia” gift basket
- Tickets to theaters (local & NYC)
- Spa basket
- Vacation condo in Florida (1 week)
- Java lovers basket
- Wines (wide range of values)
- Scrapbooking basket
- Entertainment packages
- Lots more!
Silent Auction
Similar
to a regular auction, you bid on items that you would like to purchase.
Unlike a regular auction, there is no caller and no time pressure.
You leisurely contemplate bidding and write your dollar amount on the
bid sheets of the items you're interested in. Later on, if you discover
someone has outbid you, you have time to increase your bid or stand.
Auction items represent a wide range of hobbies and interests, and
span a very wide range of dollar values. So please remember to bring
your checkbook to cover your purchases.

| FAQs |
Can I bring my kids?
Although there’s nothing specifically offensive to children, the
evening has not been planned with them in mind. The venue—a private
home—is not suitable for unattended kids. That said,
you’re welcome to bring your very well-behaved older kids. |
Do I need to rent a tux?
No. In keeping with the
theme we're asking you to wear something that makes you feel festive.
For some people that might mean a suit; for others it could be a favorite
sweater. |
Why does it seem like you're always asking for donations?
Because we are! Our ticket sales only cover a small fraction of the cost
of producing our season. To keep our programming affordable (and sometimes
free) to wider audiences in the community, we constantly need to raise
money. And in this economic climate, it's more important than ever for
us to stay afloat. |
