“The Great God Money,” by Emily Davis

History of “The Great God Money”

John Myers, Matthew Wages, Micah Freedman, Julia Beardsley
O'Brien, Myles Goldin in 2005 production of The Great God Money

This fantastical comedy with music was first performed at the New York Fringe Festival in 2005, when NYTheatre.com called the play “a witty and quirky musical comedy.” Emily Davis created this piece as an ensemble through a process called ‘devising,’ which includes audience questionnaires and improvisation during rehearsals to arrive at a final script.
